Draught exclusion saves energy
Ellen draught excluders at home can help you save a lot of energy and - accordingly - money. Turning up the heating is a waste of energy and is by no means an efficient solution. In a house without draught excluders people tend to turn the heating up an extra degree or so. Ellen sill frames and door strips can be used to easily and structurally seal gaps. Draught exclusion creates a nicely heated home and can easily reduce your gas consumption by 80 m³, or € 54 a year! (2008 price level). The investment is small and your house is comfortably warm again. View the Ellen range and see which type of draught excluder is right for your home.
Draught exclusion and the environment
Effective insulation and draught exclusion reduce your energy consumption and are therefore good for the environment. Sealing gaps prevents unpleasant draughts and contributes to effective insulation. You will however need to make sure that there is adequate ventilation, otherwise the air in the house will become too humid. Humid air feels relatively cool, which will encourage you to turn the heating up. Humidity also causes mildew. By effectively insulating your home and excluding draughts you also contribute to a clean environment. We already use far too much energy!
